inillucent

An embedded SQL database that speaks SQLite's dialect on its own storage, with
full-text and vector search built in - the job of PostgreSQL + pgvector + an
embedding server, in one process and one file.

This installs four programs into /usr/local/bin:

inillucent the command line: query, exec, describe, import, export,
backup, search, and twenty more verbs
inillucent-shell a sqlite3-shaped interactive shell, with all 63 of its
                      dot commands
inillucent-mcp the same commands served to an AI agent over MCP
inillucent-migrate builds an inillucent database from a SQLite file

and the C ABI (/usr/local/lib/libinillucent_driver_capi.dylib) with its header,
which is how a binding in any language reaches the engine.

Nothing runs in the background. There is no service and no daemon: a database
is a file, and a program opens it.
